THE CHOIR

You don't have to read music! You don't have to be an opera star! Just show up at 7:45 Wednesday evening and become part of a really nice group of people who help inspire us all. We'll find out where you fit in best, and you'll find out what a great time you've been missing. A Children's Choir is under the direction of the organist. Any child from first grade up is welcome to join. They rehearse after church on Sundays and sing about once a month in church.

THE ALTAR GUILD

Did you ever walk in to church and say to yourself . . . WOW! Doesn't the altar look beautiful.? Well, that's the result of volunteers giving their time in setting up the altar for Sunday services. If you have some time one afternoon and wonder what to do with it, give a call and find out what you can do to help—that's all it takes—a few hours a week of your time to help make our church beautiful. Flowers for the altar are gifts from the people of the parish. A sign-up sheet is posted in the rear of the church.

USHERS

Men and women are welcomed as ushers, both single and as couples. During the summer, a whole family can take over ushering for a service. Ushers commit themselves for a month at a time but we have stand-bys if for some reason you cannot make a Sunday. Monthly schedules are made up during November and December. If you're interested, call the parish office and you'll get a call back to find out which month is most convenient.

ACOLYTES / CRUCIFERS

Boys and girls ten years old and over are needed to assist at the altar during all church services. These young people carry the crucifix, light candles, receive the offerings, and help the celebrant. Those interested should contact the Rector for further information.

LAY READERS

The Church of the Saviour is proud of the group of Lay Readers in our parish. Men and women are finding it rewarding to participate actively in the readings and other parts of the services. If you are interested in becoming part of our programs, start today and call the Rector. The Lay Readers regularly take services to a local nursing home.

COUNTERS

The counters are a group of parishioners who gather after the Sunday 10 o'clock service and put together a financial statement to be passed on to our Finance Committee. You can offer your time for an entire month or by the week.

COFFEE HOUR

Coffee hour is an informal gathering of parishioners that takes place after the 10 o'clock service every Sunday except Christmas. Members of the parish volunteer hosting coffee hour, providing coffee, tea, and cake for the adults and juice and cookies for the children. Donations are accepted to offset the cost of the refreshments. Anyone may attend, and those who do usually find the coffee hour a good opportunity to catch up on social as well as church business.

GREETERS

A family of the parish can sign up to be greeters for a month. Greeters do exactly that: greet people going in church and during coffee hour to get to know them and bring new friends into our parish life.
